The Charitable Foundation was established as Front Runners New York, Inc., in 1993 to be the recipient of club fundraising dollars, to support the Wish Basket effort for homebound AIDS and breast cancer patients, and help others with debilitating illnesses. In addition, the Foundation provides emergency assistance for men and women facing life-threatening illnesses and catastrophic losses. The Charitable Foundation of Front Runners New York, Inc. is incorporated as a non-profit 501c(3) corporation.
Mission Statement
The Charitable Foundation of Front Runners New York, Inc., provides goods, services and financial aid to people diagnosed with AIDS, ARC, HIV infection, breast cancer and other life-threatening illnesses or catastrophic losses. It provides support to these people and their families, friends and loved ones.
Goals
The mission of the Charitable Foundation of Front Runners New York, Inc., is accomplished through the Community Holiday Wish Baskets Program. Holiday wish baskets are distributed to families and individuals throughout the community who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Emergency Financial Assistance Fund Members of Front Runners New York, Inc. and other eligible individuals who are diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses or who suffer catastrophic losses can receive limited, short-term financial assistance.
Scholarships to Athletes
Recognizing the importance of participating in athletic activities, the Foundation offers scholarship assistance to eligible individuals who could not other participate.

The Charitable Foundation of Front Runners New York, Inc. is dedicated to providing an endowment that can meet its mission and goals. The Foundation is a primary beneficiary of the Front Runners New York annual event, the Lesbian & Gay Pride Run. Contributions throughout the year from individuals, corporations, and community groups are the Foundation's only other source of funds. Your donation, no matter how modest is vital to the Foundation's ability to achieve its mission and goals.
