The New York Tritons is a gay and lesbian triathlon team affiliated with Front Runners New York. The Tritons boast members at every level of multisport racing and training, from beginner to veteran, from short course specialists to Ironfolk.
Multisport racing normally includes the following disciplines: swimming, cycling (mountain or road), and running (road or trail).
Several members compete at at every New York City triathlon, Gay Games, and Out Games. In the past, members have participated in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Ironman USA in Lake Placid, Ironman Germany, Great Floridian Triathlon, Escape from Alcatraz, St. Croix 70.3, Timberman 70.3, XTERRA races, Survival of the Shawangunks, and other multisport races. Members also team up and participate in triathlon relays as well.
